Welcome!

Whether you are coming for the first time or a returning client, the chances are that you enjoy art and most importantly, capturing the memories of your family. My goal as a photographer is to embrace those moments full of life, laughter and love for you. As a mom of three, I know how fast the days fly by and that is why it is my passion to preserve those times that often go so quickly. Thank you so much for stopping by and feel free to leave comments!

Its my favorite season and my busiest too! Everyone just loves the warm colors and beauty of fall and what better time to capture some family photos but this one. The last time I met with the S family we had our session in down town Philadelphia. It was so fun to shoot some urban photos since I don’t get that opportunity so often. This time around we did the opposite and I will say that not only does little B look precious in her “town” wardrobe, but she rocks the “country” too! It’s always a great time catching up with an old friend and having the chance to see her family grow so quickly over the year. Thanks again to J and J for meeting me here…it was a fabulous start to my favorite time of year!

This is my cousin’s daughter. You can see Caroline’s first shoot with me here. You will see how much she has grown since that last time. You might think that she should become a model. You’ll probably also notice that really good looks run among my cousins. And last, once again you will realize that this will take two posts to show you my favorite photos. The advantage of photo shoots with teens are that they are quite quick and mobile vs. the toddlers and younger children. In the same time we are able to cover a great area for lots of different looks. Its not that I love them more ;) We can also use places that aren’t as safe or appropriate for younger families. We might also choose days that no one should really even be on the roads. Like the day after our summer’s infamous Hurricane Irene.

We set up this shoot with Caroline right before back to school. We knew we had limited time and after one rain date already gone, we just had to go with this day. We also had plans in mind for where we wanted to go. Thanks to Irene, she really was trying to foil our ideas. I will tell you that we drove for a VERY long time, through VERY dangerous conditions just to get these photos. We detoured through an entirely different state just to get back to PA for our location. We fought the new sunset time and we conquered a total town without power. It was an absolute session to remember, but I am SO happy with these photos that I would do it again ten times. Thank you forever to my cousins who are such go-getters and always ready for the adventure! What more would complete the confidence boost of a teenager, but her very own cheering track time groupies? Yes my friends, it was a very eventful day!

So here is part 1!

Remember the aforementioned track team? Well, while they were out hitting the trails, we totally hijacked their awaiting bus. The driver and coaches were very amused by our approach and happily let us snag some really unique shots. You can have fun shots like this too if you are brave. I do not have the ability to approach and ask for permission, but I LOVE IT WHEN MY CLIENTS DO! :)
