Giddy Up Birthday Girls! {Heather Milano – Bucks County Photographer}

Familiar faces here on my blog! The A girls are turning yet another year older (can’t even BELIEVE IT!) and they are going to have a fantastic pony party this year! Mom had a vision of horses, farm and rustic so we set out to make it happen. She called the fabulous Pony Party People of Barclay Farms and they were SO kind to let us use their farm for our photo shoot! The biggest bonus was that “Penny”, the pony featured here, is the same pony that will be offering up rides at the A girls birthday party later this summer! I can’t thank Barclay Farms enough and would highly recommend checking them out.

*Because at least one reader will question this, I would like to add that Penny was chained during this session and held by the campers at Barclay Farms. There were perhaps ten girls and the owner standing within inches of where we were. We respected Penny’s space and were under the utmost safest conditions. Thanks for the PSA!*

Remember a while back I mentioned the gratefulness I had toward Facebook? This would be yet another one of those kind of posts! I went from 6th grade through 12th grade with B’s momma. While weren’t in the same circle of friends or classes, we still knew one another well enough to shout out a “Hey!” if by chance we would have ran into one another again. Enter Facebook and now we are reconnected yet again! Enjoying photos of our little ones we began chatting and found out we both love scrapbooking and photography…because who doesn’t? Long story short, we meet again. This time we took on Elfreth’s Alley in Philadelphia and what a GREAT spot it was. The charm, history and beautiful environment made for perfect photos and it was secluded enough from the hustle and bustle for a tiny little sweet pea to let loose and do her thing! So without further ado, I introduce you to Miss B!

Now I’d like to tell you all that on this particular day, we met quite early in the a.m. We wanted to beat this 90+ degree weather we’ve been having and we wanted to avoid any tourists that could possibly flood the area. Toward the end of our shoot exactly this began to happen. It was extremely warm and even more humid. The guides started bringing in flocks of tourists as well. We decided to call it a day when suddenly a tour bus pulls to the end of the street giving its riders the history behind Elfreth’s Alley. Little B, perhaps annoyed that her shining moment might be stolen away from her, gave Philadelphia’s guests a little more scene than they bargained for!

That’s right! Take that Philadelphia!!! B is in charge today! (And yes, the tour bus guests did see her and you could hear their laughter all the way from the street!)

Smooth as a Baby’s…{Heather Milano – Bucks County Photographer}

FACE! Seriously readers…I’ve said it before. I have three children who were once babies. I have friends with babies. I have friends who have friends with babies. I have photographed babies. I have never in all of my baby experience witnessed such porcelain skin as I have on Baby E. Baby’s E sweet little face was pure ivory with not the slightest blemish that most newborns have. I usually tell moms not to worry about the massive scratch the newborn fingernail just carved into one’s face an hour before I arrive. Don’t worry about baby acne! Its normal…I can make it subtle! Well on my photographer’s honor I do not believe I did one single ounce of touch up on this beautiful girl’s face. From head to toe Baby E was a dainty feminine little thing ~~and I wish I could have stuck her in my camera bag to take home with me.~~ To contrast all things girly now in the K home, big brother C is taking on the role as a first time big brother! Big Bro C was my VERY first “stranger” shoot two years ago for his first birthday. I was so pleased to come back and capture him on his third as well. It made me feel pretty awesome when I walked into their home and the first thing I saw was a framed photograph that I took that day. However, he sure grew up into a handsome and silly guy – much different from the little “baby” he was not so long ago. It is always amazing to see how quickly little ones can transform in that time frame into full blown “kids!” Thank you again K family for allowing me back into your home…I had a blast!
