Surprises are Sensational!

Posted on October 30, 2009

In the upcoming weeks we will be saying goodbye to a very important person in our lives. Carolyn, or son’s OT, will have to discharge our boys because they will be the big 0-3! She met our sons when they could do nothing but lie flat on their backs. Now, with her superb knowledge and passion, they are crazy boys making up for lost time in the activity department. Recently we reminisced about the early days and recalled all the developments they had in not only their physical skills, but their personality. She was wonderful and we are sad to see her go, but are more than happy to open up her time to go help more little guys and girls grow big and strong. We really wanted to get Carolyn something special to thank her for all she has done for us, but I didn’t really know what Carolyn truly loved. On the sly, I reached her mother-in-law who came up with the fabulous idea of doing some portraits of her little daughter. I had photographed little C last fall so it was the perfect “follow-up” gift! We arranged a time and I snuck over to her home and boy did little C perform for me! She was just darling and silly and not shy in the least. I was so excited that it was very, very hard to not slip until the album I designed for her came in. Meanwhile, during all of this secret planning, Carolyn had been wanting to schedule a session with little C and I had to skate around it until I had her book in hand. I was finally able to surprise her yesterday and it was a success! Her mother-in-law had kept it a secret not only from her, but her husband as well so it was a really fun treat to hear how it went. Its hard to express thanks to someone whether it is in words or a gift when it comes to your children. We are so very fortunate for all of the services and help we’ve had access to over the past three years. We realize how good we have it and the grateful feelings are overwhelming at times. So from the bottom of our hearts, we thank you Carolyn! I can finally share little C’s photos with you all!
